Sport’s Stars Breakfast

Sponsored by Westpac Bank, and despite Kevin Greene’s electoral commitments at the time; on 4^th March 2011, he and Phill Bates ran another successful Sport’s Breakfast, for the 5^th year in succession. Ably assisted by Tim Martin and Andrew Baxter, with Bruce Martin leading a large group of our Lions, we raised $12,000 in total. Of this amount $10,000 was donated to a group of specialists from the Peakhurst/Lugarno Uniting Church to return to Aceh to complete work they had started soon after the devastating Indonesian tsunami in 2004.

We thank the following sportsmen who gave their time freely to attend the breakfast and ensure its success:

The Master of Ceremonies was Glenn Wheeler who always provides a room full of laughs and whose wit is always appreciated.

A sumptuous breakfast was provided by Leo and Merrin Rutishauser, from Stapleton's Restaurant, Sutherland We thank Leo and Merrin for their huge effort on the day. We also thank Sydney Markets Lions, who donated the food for the breakfast.

We look forward to a continuation of these very successful events.
