Lionism = Obligation

Lions is not just a social club, although social activities are part of the principle of Lions. Membership carries an obligation that members participate regularly in Club activities. Such activities include meetings, community activities, fundraising activities and social activities.

Who are Lions....

..... they are men and women who are of legal age, are service-minded and wish to share the opportunity to serve the community in a meaningful and purposeful manner. Individuals dedicated to maintaining the highest ethical and moral standards in their club – and in their personal lives. They are serious about their commitment to humanitarian service, but also enjoy fun and frivolity along the way.

.... and they are members of the world’s largest and most active service club organisation.

What Lions do ....

.... apart from meeting twice a month, Lions go out into the community and raise much needed financial assistance to the many and varied community groups:

Hospitals, medical research, clinics, schools, under-privileged, childhood learning, playgrounds, parks, and countless other facilities that enhance day-to-day life in our communities.

Lions don’t only fundraise; they also assist the elderly and needy by undertaking community projects.

Membership in Lions is open to any person, irrespective of sex, race or religion, who is interested in helping the needy in the community, nationally and internationally.

Membership is by invitation only but applications are encouraged from all members of the community. Membership is open to men and women over the age of 18 years old and of good moral character and reputation.
